FAQs

MICROBLADING

How long does the procedure take?

Microbalding session can take an average 2 hours considering the fact that we have to apply a numbing cream that needs to take effect before we start the procedure (typically 45m)

Does it hurt?

The pain  is considered mild to none.  Prior to the procedure I will apply a topical anesthetic to numb the area, and also reapplied during the procedure.  Everyone responds differently to anesthetic; depending on the client, the feeling of the procedure has been described as light cat scratches to not feeling anything. Topical anesthetics used may contain lidocaine, prilocaine, benzocaine, tetracaine and epinephrine.
After the procedure, redness and slight swelling in the area is normal.  Clients describe the area feeling similar to a light sunburn.  Clients can take Tylenol but not aspirin or ibuprofen.

How often I need to touchup?

Everyone is different, heals different and looks different and you may fade about 25% to 40% of the pigment after your first appointment for this reason you will need to return within 6 weeks after your first appointment for your touchup to perfect shape and color if needed. There is 2 steps for this procedure. Please do not compare clients results, everyone is different.
To maintain the brows looking fresh, a touch up is suggested average 12 months (discount offered). Clients can let the microbladed area fade over time if they don't wish to touchup, but please note a slight shadow may remain.

Can I cover an old brow tattoo with Microblading?

The answer is Yes, we may be able to cover the tattoo with microblading, however we cannot guarantee how the pigment will react and or fade to the skin and how often you may need to touchup, only time will tell. Microblading looks a lot more natural and this is still a GREAT option to try before getting another convetional tattoo.

Will I bleed?

Mild bleeding may occur.

Please do NOT take any blood thiners minimum 48 hours prior procedure to avoid excessively bleeding.  Click here to prepare for your procedure. We do not go very deep on your skin so most people will have very mild to NO bleeding.  In the case you experience more bleeding than average, it may affect pigment retention and a 4 week touchup is a MUST for better results. Results will generally be very good but we cannot guarantee pigment retention.
